4. AJ Storr

Oh, this is a name all Illini fans should know by now. AJ Storr is a talented player who Illinois had committed at one time but that is no longer the case. This recruitment is not over, though.

Storr is a 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard from IMG Academy and resides in Bradenton, Florida. He is rated as a three-star recruit but isn’t ranked by 247Sports. There are plenty of programs that are now coming after the IMG talent, though.

Since Storr reopened his recruitment back on May 13, he has received a plethora of scholarship offers. Teams like Oklahoma, LSU, Creighton and Oklahoma State have all come in with an offer. Despite the massive recruiting uptick for Storr, Illinois seems to be still in consideration as a landing spot.

Since Storr still considers Illinois a potential landing spot, that means the Illini are still recruiting the kid and we could snag him again. I believe the next month or so is going to really determine Storr’s future and what his decision is going to end up being.

I think it is a long shot Illinois does bring Storr back into the fold, but the fact he is keeping the Illini involved is important. I would like to see the Orange and Blue get an official visit from Storr as well. This would enable him to come to Champaign and get a feel for the program. Look for a visit schedule in the next week or so.
