No. 3 Guard

Starter: Adam Miller

The Brad Underwood era has brought in some talented classes. I think I have been excited for just about every class I have seen so far. But the class of 2020 might be the best yet. Adam Miller is the highest-rated recruit in this class for the Illini. He is someone who will burst onto the scene quickly.

I am slotting Miller in as the start No. 3 guard for Illinois. He is joining the Illini as the No. 33 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 7 shooting guard in the nation. There is no doubt in my mind that he will come into the program and start from day one. The impact his commitment had on the Illinois recruiting class is huge. Without Miller a part of this class, the future of the team is in question. But, with him, I think we have a shot at not only getting back to the NCAA tournament but winning a couple of games too.

Backup Jacob Grandison

The backup to Miller for the upcoming season should be Jacob Grandison. He is another transfer who Illinois snagged this past season but had to sit out a year due to transfer rules. I think Grandison could come in and make an impact from day one.

It wouldn’t shock me to see Grandison play a couple of different roles. He is transferring in from Holy Cross College where he averaged 13.9 points, 5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He will probably sub in for the No. 2 and 3 spots on the team. I love his versatility.
