$2 Spot

Option 1 – Leron Black

Option 2 – Rayvonte Rice

Option 3 – Shaun Pruitt

Option 4 – Sean Harrington

My Pick – Leron Black

Another tough section here but I think there are two clear options to go with. The talented players at the two-dollar spot include Leron Black, Rayvonte Rice, Shaun Pruitt and Sean Harrington.

Rice was a transfer into the Illinois program. He played a couple of seasons with the Illini and was electric in the time he was here. He was a talented scorer who could shoot the ball from anywhere. While the teams didn’t do great, the memories of Rice and his clutch moments live on.

Another player who took over after the national title run was Pruitt. He was a solid big man who was asked to fill in for James Augustine after the solid four-year run. Those Illinois teams weren’t great but Pruitt was still a solid player. He would be a good big man option.

Harrington was another solid player for the Illini. He was during the early 2000’s era of Illinois basketball. His scoring ability helped propel the Orange and Blue to some great seasons and deep NCAA tournament runs.

Those three players are solid, but I would have to go with Black here. Black had a ton of talent when he played for the Illini. I think he departed too soon, but he showed how good he could be during his junior campaign. He would be a nice forward option for my team.
