1. Ali Jennings

The most recent top list the Illinois football team made was that of Ali Jennings. He would be a nice addition to the wide receiver corps and someone who could compete for a starting job day one.

Jennings is a 6-foot-2, 186-pound wide receiver from Highland Springs High School in Highland Springs, Virginia. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 722 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 88 wide receiver in the nation.

On August 11, Jennings decided to cut his list down to just eight teams. He included Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Temple, West Virginia, James Madison, Toledo, North Carolina and Illinois. The list is tough for the Illini and it could be difficult to pull Jennings away from the east coast.

Right now, 247Sports has James Madison and West Virginia at 50-percent apiece for the commitment of Jennings. I think Jennings is most likely landing with the Mountaineers based on the program size, conference and location. I don’t think James Madison ends up landing Jennings.

I believe Illinois will get a chance at getting an official visit from Jennings. He hasn’t set any official visits yet, I believe, and I am sure he will probably cut his list one more time. There is a good chance the Illini make his next cut.
