Austin Trice – Confidence 75%

Austin Trice is a junior college player right now. He is a 6-foot-7, 230-pound forward who plays for Wabash Valley Community College and is from Mount Carmel, Illinois.

The recruiting attention is starting to pick up for Trice. Illinois is the biggest program to offer him a scholarship, though. New Mexico, New Mexico State and Southern Miss are the other three programs to extend him an offer right now. I assume there will be a massive amount of attention soon. This kid is an absolute beast around the hoop.

This season in 24 games with Wabash Valley, Trice has averaged 13.1 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. He just had a game on Valentine’s Day as well where he put up 16 points and 12 rebounds on 8-of-14 shooting from the field. He has had games this year where he put up 30 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Illinois needs a player like this for next season.

The recruitment of Trice is a little murky right now. I would assume Illinois has a pretty good lead on the other programs, but you never know who is going to swoop in. Depending on when he wants to commit, I think the Illini have a pretty good shot at Trice.
