Courtney Ramey – Confidence 60%

Courtney Ramey is a 6-foot-3, 170-pound guard from Webster Groves High School in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 31 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 player in the state of Missouri.

Ramey has already been on official visits to Oklahoma State – December 9 – and Texas – December 28 – and had one scheduled for this weekend to UCLA. It was first reported by Derek Piper of 247Sports that Ramey has canceled that visit to the Bruins, though.

Since Ramey backed away from his commitment to Louisville last year amid the FBI probe, he has had a ton of interest. The Cowboys and Longhorns are in the running for this kid, but I still think Illinois is as well.

It is also interesting that South Carolina’s Frank Martin and SMU’s Tim Jankovich were both in Saint Louis last night watching Ramey along with Illinois’ Brad Underwood. What this means to me is both of those teams are now likely in the running for this kid as well.

As time goes on, oddly enough I am getting more confident the Illini can land Ramey. They are putting in resources to see this kid play and let him know they have a ton of interest. Having a starting spot day one for him is a big bonus as well.
