The Illinois football team takes on the South Florida Bulls this Friday. The Illini defense will need to be ready.

Here is the South Florida offensive depth chart.

QB: Quinton Flowers

The main player Illinois has to focus on stopping on Friday night is quarterback Quinton Flowers. He has thrown for 398 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception this season.  He has also rushed for 137 yards and 1 touchdown as well. The defense will be tested against his dual-threat Heisman contender.

RB: D’Ernest Johnson

South Florida runs a running back by committee backfield. D’Ernest Johnson is their starting running back and he has rushed for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns on 35 carries. Darius Tice will also be carrying the rock. He has 36 carries for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns on the season.

TE: Mitchell Wilcox

The tight end position isn’t a huge factor for the Bulls. Mitchell Wilcox is their No. 1 tight end and he only has 27 yards on 3 catches for the season. Illinois doesn’t have to worry too much about him on Friday.

WR: Darnell Salomon

The wide receivers are a group that the Illini should fear. Darnell Salomon has 5 catches for 59 yards through two games this year. He will be dangerous with his 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame.

WR: Chris Barr

Chris Barr hasn’t had a catch in a game this season but Illinois can’t let down their guard. He is the projected starter for the Bulls and will be dangerous.

WR: Marquez Valdes-Scantling

The leading wide receiver for South Florida is Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He is a 6-foot-5 beast who will be extremely tough to guard for the Illini cornerbacks. Valdes-Scantling has had a good season so far. He has 10 catches for 106 yards and 1 touchdown on the year.

RT: Marcus Norman

Marcus Norman is an experienced right tackle. He is in his sophomore season but started nine games and played in all 12 for the Bulls last season.

RG: Cameron Ruff

Cameron Ruff is one of the best players on the South Florida football team. He started every game last season at center but has moved over to the right guard role.

C: Michael Galati

The starting center for the Bulls is Michael Galati. He didn’t start a single game before this season but is trusted to snap the ball to the quarterback.

LG: Jeremi Hall

Another experienced offensive lineman for South Florida is Jeremi Hall. He is back after starting every game last season at left guard for the Bulls. He is a massive 6-foot-5, 332-pound, senior.

LT: Eric Mayes

In 2016, Eric Mayes become an offensive tackle for the Bulls. He was originally a defensive tackle but made the switch and is now the starter in 2017. He should be a point of attack for these Illini defensive ends.
