Darius Days

Illinois needs more players who have height so they can play in and around the paint, but who can also step out and shoot a jumper when it is needed. Darius Days could be the player they are looking for.

Days is a long player standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 210-pounds. He is someone Underwood needs to play the No. 4 spot in the near future. That is why he is so important for the class of 2018.

Scout has Days listed as a four-star recruit who isn’t ranked in the top 100 but is the No. 22 power forward in the class of 2018. He is someone who will have teams recruiting him hard, but it looks like Illinois might have got in the running at the right time.

Days has also been out on the AAU circuit playing for the Florida Vipers in the Under Armour Association league. He has been doing pretty well in the league. He has averaged 14.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the eight contests he has played in.

There is no doubt Days will end up being a good player in college. He is putting up some great stats on the AAU circuit and has even been keeping up with some of the top level players.

Illinois needs a bigger player like Days to get to the hoop and rebound the ball. That is why Days is important for 2018.
