No. 93 Tim Finke

Recruiting the state of Illinois was tough for the previous coaching regime, but under Underwood, the Illini should be able to land some top prospects. One of the top 100 players out of Illinois is Tim Finke.

Finke is a talented forward out of Champaign Central High School in Champaign, Illinois. He is listed as a 6-foot-6, 201-pound forward who should be one of the main targets for the Illini.

Scout has Finke listed as a four-star recruit who is the No. 93 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 29 small forward in the nation. This kid has the skills to be one of the best shooters in the Big Ten in year one and hopefully, Underwood can pull him in.

Illinois has been there scouting Finke for quite some time. He is in their backyard and that has to be an easier recruitment than heading somewhere on a plane. They can attend his games whenever they need to.

It also helps that Illinois has his brother, Michael, on the team as well. That is a nice tie to help convince Tim to stay in Champaign.

Finke is also playing AAU basketball right now for the Nike MeanStreets. He has averaged 15 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in the 12 contests so far this summer. It is exciting to see him able to rebound as well. That has developed since last season and look for his game altogether to improve over the next year.
