No. 4 Cameron Brown, Wide Receiver

Continuing to build the quarterback position is important, but so it building the wide receiver core as well. Without good pass catchers, the Illinois quarterbacks won’t have anyone to throw the ball to.

A player like Cameron Brown would be a huge asset to the Illinois football team. He is a player that is highly regarded in college football and if the Illini snag him it would be huge for the program.

Brown is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver out of Christian Brothers College High School in Saint, Louis, Missouri. He is ranked as a three-star recruit who is the No. 599 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 10 player in the state of Missouri.

Do you want the entire package at the wide receiver position? That is what Brown brings to the table and whoever snags him will get a great player. He has good size and his hands are excellent. He can also run a 4.48-second 40-yard dash, which is impressive in high school.

The recruitment of Brown is going to be difficult. He has 15 scholarship offers that include multiple power five conference programs.  Some of these programs include Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska.

If Illinois can get Brown to come to Champaign then I will be impressed. They already have decent depth at wide receiver, but adding him could make them competitive in the Big Ten.
