No. 4 Tim Finke – Class of 2018

Illinois currently has a dilemma on their hands. They have two scholarships available for the next two seasons combined as of right now. That means if they snag Mark Smith then there will only be one available scholarship for 2018.

The No. 4 recruit on this list is Tim Finke. He is a superstar shooter who can play both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots on the floor. Getting a player of this caliber on the Illini will be great for future success.

Finke is the younger brother of Illinois forward Michael Finke. He hails from Champaign, Illinois so this will hopefully help in the recruitment of this talented player.

Right now, Finke is listed as a four-star recruit who is the No. 93 player in the class of 2018. He also plays for the St. Louis Eagles AAU team and that is the same squad that Jeremiah Tilmon came from so hopefully, that also helps his decision when he sees Tilmon succeeding this season.

Despite the location, Finke is going to be a tough recruit to land. He has 14 scholarship offers and Scout has his top five being Butler, Northwestern, Oregon, Vanderbilt and Illinois. The only one out of that list to not make the postseason this year is Illinois.

Underwood needs to land a player that can shoot the ball like Finke. It sounds like an easy get, but he will have his work cut out for him over the next year.
