The Illinois offense could be pretty good in the next couple years.  They have some talented players returning and they also have some new blood coming into the program as well.

One player, they could add that would help the offensive flow is DJ Edwards.

Edwards is rated as a 3-star wide receiver from West Palm Beach, Florida.  247Sports ranks him as the No. 878 player in the class of 2017 and the No. 130 player in the state of Florida.

In early July, Edwards didn’t have a top list.  He was still taking the recruiting process slow and wanted to see all of his options.

The one thing Edwards did confirm to me was that he plans on taking an official visit to Champaign because he really wants to get up here and check it out.

Edwards’ recruitment is still up in the air at this point.

It looks like maybe Kentucky and West Virginia are both vying for his services and may have the lead right now.

I think Illinois will be in the thick of things when Edwards’ recruitment is completed, though.  He wants to visit the campus and each player only has five official visits.

If Lovie can get another player from Florida then I think they need to be calling it a pipeline.
