Justin Smith (Mac Irvin Fire)

Justin Smith has emerged as a prime target for the Illinois basketball team in 2017.  He is super athletic and a solid forward talent.

Smith has played in 10 games so far and averaged 10.6 PPG and 5.7 RPG.  He can put up points and pull down rebounds.  That is exactly what Illinois will need in 2017.

One worry I have for Smith is that he isn’t great at free throws and perimeter shooting.  He is only shooting 56-percent from the free throw line.  That is not a good number.

I think there is still plenty of time for Smith to increase his production.  He is still one of my top guys that I want the Illini to sign for next season.
