What is the Most Important Game of 2015?

Rees:  I think the Nebraska game is the most important game in 2015.  The first four games I think most of us are projecting at worst a 3-1 start for the Illini.  This fifth game is going to be huge.  If Illinois can compete or even potentially beat Nebraska, that could change the whole season.

Ricky:  Purdue. Illinois cannot afford to lose to Purdue this season after they should have won in 2014.

Austin:  The most important game (or games) this season will be the games you are supposed to win.  I will consider Kent State, Western Illinois, and Middle Tennessee State as the most important games.  If the Illini falter in one of these games, there will be no hope for a bowl game this year.

Ryan:  The easy answer is the opener against Kent St. because the next one up is always the most important, but in the grand scheme of things I feel as though the North Carolina game is the true pivot game on this schedule. If the Illini can go on the road and steal this one from a high powered, offensive minded team then they set themselves up for a potential 7 to 8 win season.

Cailey:  Much like it did last year, I think a bowl bid will come down to the November 28th game vs Northwestern – and before last week I would have said Beckman’s career counted on making another bowl appearance.
