Who is the Illinois Football MVP for 2015?

Rees:  I think most people are going to say Wes Lunt here but I don’t think that will be the case.  He is extremely important, but I also think senior running back Josh Ferguson is going to be as well.  I am going to go with Ferguson as the MVP for 2015.  He will have the ability to take the pressure off Lunt by being an effective runner and he will also be able to make Lunt look good by getting some good yardage receiving.

Ricky:  Wes Lunt. If Illinois wants to take the next step, Lunt needs to play very well and stay healthy on the football field.

Austin:  There are a number of guys that you could consider for team MVP coming in to 2015.  Lunt and his cannon arm, Hardee and his need to be a playmaker in the wake of Dudek’s injury, or Josh Ferguson.  My pick, however, is going to be V’Angelo Bentley.  One of my first articles was about how good I thought Bentley could be, and he has not disappointed.  Whether it is returning kicks, shutting down receivers, or possibly filling a need at running back, I can totally see Bentley as an All-American at the end of 2015.

Ryan:  Most will choose Wes Lunt or Josh Ferguson, and it’s tough to argue those selections because they will both have to carry the offensive load with Mikey Dudek out, but I think the true MVP of this team is going to be an entire unit – the Offensive Line. Lunt’s production as a passer, and Ferguson’s production as a runner, is going to tie directly to how well the newcomers on the offensive line gel together and keep Lunt upright and healthy while also opening holes for Ferguson.

Cailey: Wes Lunt – Preseason reports say Lunt is looking very good, let’s hope he can translate that into some success.
