Illinois Basketball: Recruiting history of top 100 point guards

The Illinois basketball team has a history of bringing in talented point guards to lead this program.

In the current recruiting class, Brad Underwood still has a great point guard committed. This point guard should lead the team for years to come and be a special player when his career is finished.

Underwood also has some future recruits that are eyeing the program. One of those recruits is Ayo Donsumu. He is one of the top point guards in the nation and someone who could help build this program back into a national title contender.

Illinois is also in the running for another top point guard who is going to make a decision tonight. Whether the decision is in favor of the Illini or not, they still have a good point guard signed up and history shows they can snag the right ones for the program.

Going back through the talent that has been brought in by various coaches, I have noticed that success has been based on how good of a point guard that Illinois can bring in. If the Illini don’t have a point guard coming in or if they are injured then the team ends up being bad.
