Throughout the past ten years, the Illinois basketball team has recruited some pretty good players.

There have been a variety of players stemming from two-star recruits all the way up to the coveted five-star prospect.

Illinois has managed to snag both of those and everything in between.  But, there is no question that some recruits have been more impactful than others.

I put together a list of the top ten recruits in the last ten years that have made the biggest impact on the Illinois basketball team.

Yes, I know the team has struggled for a majority of those seasons, but there are still players who have made an impact.

This list doesn’t necessarily have the highest stars the Illini have recruited, but it has the players that when I look at their names a single play comes up or their leadership comes to mind.

The crazy part about all of this is, that despite the bad records and the lack of postseason success there are plenty of players who still made an impact.

I even had to leave off a few good players that have done solid things but nothing that blew me away.

Without further ado, here is the list of the most impactful recruits the last ten years.
