Te’Jon Lucas hasn’t played a single minute for the Illinois basketball team.  But, he still goes down as a top ten most impactful recruit.

Lucas will be playing for the Illini this season.  He is a 4-star point guard that wasn’t ranked in the Scout top 100.

The impact Lucas has on the upcoming Illinois basketball team and into the future is great.  He helps solidify the point guard position.

Illinois really hasn’t had a great point guard in quite some time.  The last one I can think of was Demetri McCamey and he didn’t have a lot of help around him.

In just the last two seasons, Illinois fans had to deal with Tracy Abrams being injured for both campaigns and Jaylon Tate manning the ship.

Of course, John Groce received a few graduate transfers in that time as well but they were ineffective.

So, the addition of Lucas will go a long way into winning for the Illini.  He is going to potentially be the starting point guard in 2017.

There is no doubt that Lucas makes the top ten most impactful recruits in the last ten years.
