Nebraska Cornhuskers – 8-2 overall (80% winning rate)

And we get to the biggest lopsided series during the Brad Underwood era. He has beaten down many programs during his time at Illinois, but Nebraska has been the ugliest victim thus far.

I feel slightly bad for the Cornhuskers, as they are a football program. But you have to have some respect for yourselves. You can’t just let Underwood steamroll you like this. We have been dominant over Nebraska since Underwood took over, going 8-2 in 10 games.

Much like some of the teams mentioned already, the series didn’t start in favor of Illinois. In fact, Underwood dropped two out of his first three games against Nebraska.

Again, for those counting at home, that means Illinois is currently on a nine-game winning streak. That is the longest winning streak Illinois is on against teams we play frequently. It has been an ugly Big Ten rivalry, and it probably won’t get any better for the Cornhuskers.

In the nine-game winning streak, Illinois has beaten Nebraska by double-digit points six times. We are beating the Cornhuskers by an average of 11.8 points during this nine-game winning streak as well.

Illinois’ scoring has been a thing to note in the series. We have averaged 92.5 points per game in the last two matchups. Illinois hasn’t scored under 71 points in any of the nine straight wins either.

Underwood has dominated many teams during his time at Illinois but winning at a clip of 80% and taking the last nine games in a rivalry takes the cake as the most dominating series for the great coach.
