4. Bryce Heard

Illinois is going after Aleks Alston, who would be a great frontcourt player. We are also targeting the best player in the state, Bryce Heard, as well.

Heard is a 6-foot-5, 187-pound shooting guard from Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Illinois. He is rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 98 player in the class of 2025. He is also the No. 15 combo guard in the country and the No. 1 player coming out of Illinois.

Illinois has been after Heard for quite some time. He has been known as one of the best players in the state for quite a while, and he would be a big player to land.

Much like Alston, Orlando Antigua has been hitting the recruiting trail and targeting Heard. He was in the house to watch Heard with the Marc Irvin Fire this past weekend.

Heard is a big-time scorer on the AAU circuit for the Mac Irvin Fire. He is currently averaging 14.6 Points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game this summer.

I am impressed with Heard’s game. He can do everything on the basketball court. Heard can hit shots from every level. He makes the right play. Heard finds the open man when needed. He is someone who is a playmaker through and through.

Illinois could always use someone like Heard. This kid would be perfect on the wing as the starting No. 3 in the Illini lineup.
