There has been an update to the Terrence Shannon Jr. rape allegation.

On Monday night, Andy Olson, the sports anchor for WCIA, posted on social media the affidavit from the Lawrence Police Department filed by the State of Kansas.

The affidavit was released just hours after the news broke that Shannon and his legal team had filed a restraining order against the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The temporary restraining order by Shannon comes six days after the University Conduct Panel upheld his suspension.

Illinois fans were in shock on December 28 when news broke that the basketball program suspended Shannon.

On December 28, the official complaint against Shannon was released.

A day later, Illinois athletic director Josh Whitman held a press conference explaining the decision by the University to suspend Shannon.
