13. Washington Huskies 6-6 (3-6 Big Ten)

Washington had a great team in 2023, but they have lost a ton of talent from that squad. That is why I expect a big step backward this season.

  • Biggest Wins: #9 Michigan, UCLA

Despite having a new team and new head coach, I think Washington can still pull off some upsets in 2024. The first one is against No. 9 Michigan. The Huskies have a chance to potentially knock off a ranked opponent, as I don’t think the Wolverines are that good this season.

I think the UCLA game is going to be a big win too. This is a PAC-12 rivalry game, so there is going to be some extra juice. This is also the game that will get Washinton bowl eligible.

  • Biggest Losses: @ Rutgers, @ Indiana

I have a couple of stinkers for Washington in 2024. They need time to gel, and having so many new pieces, they are bound to lay an egg.

Falling to Rutgers on the road is tough. That is a long flight, and Rutgers can make the game nasty. This could be a bad loss.

I also think Washington could have a tough time against Indiana. This is another long flight, and neither team won’t have much game film on the other. This could be a toss-up game that I see Washington losing.

  • Biggest Threats: Washington State, #9 Michigan, UCLA

A huge rivalry game awaits Washington in the third game of the season. A battle against Washington State could be huge for the rest of the way out. The Cougars always have a solid team, though. This could be a trip-up game.

Obviously, Michigan and UCLA are also threats. I have Washington beating both programs, but these two games could easily go either way. Washington will have their hands full with both teams.
