Projected Big Ten football standings for the 2024 season
10. UCLA Bruins 6-6 (4-5 Big Ten)
UCLA will provide more entertaining matchups in the Big Ten this season, but I don’t seem the excelling in year one in the conference.
- Biggest Wins: #25 Iowa
There aren’t a lot of big wins on the docket for the Bruins. Wins over Hawaii and Indiana aren’t huge, but I think that game late in the season against No. 25 Iowa could be important.
Iowa might not be ranked heading into the game, but this is a contest that will help determine a bowl appearance for UCLA. The Bruins welcome in Iowa and take home the biggest win of the season for the program.
- Biggest Losses: @ Washington
Honestly, UCLA has one of the toughest schedules I have seen. They have a stretch of games that consists of at LSU, Oregon, and at Penn State. None of the losses are surprising for the Bruins, but the one that would hurt the most is at Washington.
The Huskies aren’t the same team as last year, and this is a former PAC-12 rivalry. Falling to Washington would be a tough loss.
- Biggest Threats: @ Rutgers, Fresno
I have mentioned this a lot already, but winning on the road in the Big Ten is tough. Now you have a three-hour time change to go along with it.
While I have UCLA beating Rutgers on the road, this is a game to watch. That time change is huge, and Rutgers is scrappy. Look for this game to be close. They are a big threat.
I also believe Fresno is going to have a good team in 2024. That is the final game of the season for UCLA, and this is a make-or-break contest for a postseason berth. It is a big game.
