College football is kicking off on Saturday, and one of the best conferences in the country should be the Big Ten.

This isn’t the normal Big Ten, though. Four new teams – Oregon, Washington, USC, and UCLA – have joined the mix to make one of the most talented groups of teams we have ever seen.

But who is going to win this new-look Big Ten? When the dust settles, which programs will have a shot at the Big Ten Championship, the College Football Playoff, or even a bowl game?

Here are projected Big Ten football standings for the 2024 season

1. Oregon Ducks 12-0 (9-0 Big Ten)

The Big Ten added some insane teams to the conference this season, and the Oregon Ducks are easily one of the best teams in the country.

  • Biggest Wins: #2 Ohio State, @ #9 Michigan

I believe Oregon is the best team in the Big Ten, and that is why I have them going 12-0 overall and 9-0 in the Big Ten. The two biggest wins will come against No. 2 Ohio State and on the road against No. 9 Michigan.

Oregon is coming to the conference at the right time. I believe Michigan is going to be down this season after winning the national title, and Ohio State is in a weird spot with their program.

  • Biggest Losses: None

The schedule seems to be fairly easy for Oregon heading into the 2024 campaign. I don’t see any losses for the Ducks, as they should be able to get to the Big Ten Championship game in year one.

  • Biggest Threats: #2 Ohio State

Honestly, the only game I see as a threat for Oregon is that game on October 12 against Ohio State. The Buckeyes have the talent to beat good teams, but I am not sure they are good enough to take down the Ducks.

Oregon’s only two losses in 2023 were to Washington, and while the Huskies are on the schedule again, that is not the same Washington program. If Oregon does get past the Buckeyes, it should be easy sailing.
