Illinois basketball is set to take on the UConn Huskies on Saturday, which is for the chance to clinch a spot in the Final 4.

This will be the biggest test of the year for the Illini. UConn sports what most would consider the best team in the country. The Huskies are coming off a national title win last season, and they just put No. 5 San Diego State in their place with an 82-52 win over the Aztecs.

  • Over/Under – 154.5 points

Illinois basketball vs UConn prediction

Spread – You are giving 8.5 points to an Illinois team that just took down a No. 2 seed Iowa State program. The Illini can attack and put up points in bunches. But we have also turned our defense up a notch in the past month. I would take the Illini +8.5 in this matchup.

Moneyline – Honestly, with the way Illinois is playing, this is a good value bet. We have been one of the best teams in the country and have proved elite against great defenses. If you want the most bang for your buck, go with the moneyline. I am going Illinois +315.

Over/Under – UConn has proved to have a great defense. Illinois has been playing some tough defense over the last few weeks. This screams for a low scoring game. I think the Huskies will be able to shut down some of the Illini’s offensive output. Look for this game to be in the 130 to 140 range. I would take the under.
