Angelo McCullom confirmed on social media that he will be signing during the early signing period. He will put pen to paper on December 20 at his high school.

With so much talent departing the defensive line, Bret Bielema knew he needed to add a ton of talent. McCullom was a big get for the coaching staff, and I think this kid has an extremely bright future with the program.

Easton Baker

On Tuesday, Easton Baker took to social media to confirm his plans. He will be signing with the Illinois football program on December 20.

Illinois is building some solid depth at the middle linebacker position. Dylan Rosiek had a good season. I am excited to see what Jojo Hayden will bring to the team. Kenenna Odeluga also performed well for the Illini. I see Baker coming in and redshirting in year one. His development is going to be exciting. Look for Baker to make a huge impact on the team in 2025 and beyond.

Joe Barna

On social media, Joe Barna confirmed his plans with a repost. He will be signing with the Illini on December 20, and Barna will enroll at Illinois in January.

Enrolling early is great for Barna. I am not sure how much of an impact he will have in year one, but the earlier he is in the system the better. I love Barna's potential, and with so many departures on the defensive line, don't be surprised if he sees some snaps in 2024.
