Illinois wide receiver commit Carlos Orr announced on Wednesday that he would be putting pen to paper on December 20 to make his commitment to the program official.

The wide receiver position is going through a transition right now. Casey Washington is departing and in the next year, superstar Isaiah Williams will also be gone. Illinois needed to reload, and Orr is a big part of the process.

Zafir Stewart

While it hasn't been confirmed by Zafir Stewart yet, it looks like he will be signing on December 20. The big-time offensive lineman is also enrolling in June.

Since his commitment back in June 2023, Stewart has remained strong in his pledge. Illinois needed some offensive line help, and I think this kid provides that. Stewart is a nice depth piece for 2024, and I think he could work his way up to a starter in the first couple of seasons.

Mario Sanders

Illinois received a big JUCO commit in Mario Sanders. He is now going to be signing on December 20, and he will enroll in January. Sanders confirmed this with a repost on social media.

I believe Sanders provides Illinois with instant help at wide receiver. He is someone we can rely on early to make catches, and it wouldn't shock me to see Sanders get a start or two in 2024.
