Demetrius John has been 100% Illinois since he committed to the program back in June. He confirmed on social media that he is singing on December 20.

Illinois is going to have a complete revamp of the defensive line in 2024. I see John coming in and being a solid depth piece from day one. He will probably see snaps in 2024, but if he doesn't, I expect a redshirt and him to come out guns blazing in 2025.

Vernon Woodward

On Wednesday, Illinois commit Vernon Woodward took to social media to announce his intentions. He will be signing on December 20.

Illinois' secondary wasn't good in 2023. We need more help at the starting positions and with depth. I think Woodward will help the depth issue from day one. With someone like Taz Nicholson transferring out, who knows, maybe Woodward can see a start or two in 2024.

Daniel Brown

Illinois was able to land a talented junior college player in Daniel Brown. He reposted on social media confirming he would be signing on December 20 and enrolling in January.

I mentioned this with Josaiah Knight, but Illinois has a great strength at outside linebacker entering 2024. Not only did nearly everyone return, but Illinois is loading up at this position in the class of 2024. Brown should see a ton of snaps this upcoming campaign.
