The Illinois football program is putting together quite a solid class of 2024.

Early National Signing Day is Wednesday, December 20, and this is a chance for the Illini to get recruits to put pen to paper and make things official.

Finding out who is going to stick with their commitment is crucial for Orange and Blue. As of right now, most of the players have announced that they are signing early. Some of the players are even going to enroll in the spring, which is huge for development.

Illinois football class of 2024 commits signing schedule for National Signing Day

Andrew Dennis

  • 4-Star
  • 247Sports Rank: #262
  • Position: Offensive Line

On Tuesday, Andrew Dennis took to his social media account to announce that he is signing on December 20 and will be enrolling at Illinois in January.

This is big for the program because Dennis is the highest-ranked recruit in the Illinois class of 2024. Dennis enrolling early will help the Illini offensive line tremendously, as we all saw the struggles this past season.

Ca'Lil Valentine

  • 4-Star
  • 247Sports Rank: #396
  • Position: Running Back

Ca'Lil Valentine reposted on social media confirming that he would be signing with Illinois on December 20. He won't enroll early, as his expected enrollment would be in June.

The addition of Valentine is huge for the Illini. Kaden Feagin is the starter heading into next season, but there are so many question marks behind him. With Reggie Love III entering the transfer portal, Illinois needed a solid No. 2 option. I think that is Valentine in 2024.

Tysean Griffin

  • 3-Star
  • 247Sports Rank: #507
  • Position: Wide Receiver

It is being reported that Tysean Griffin will be signing on December 20. It is also believed that he will be enrolling in the program in January as well. This report hasn't been confirmed by Griffin yet, though.

Griffin was a big get for Bret Bielema and the Illinois coaching staff. He is listed as an athlete, but he is coming into the program as a wide receiver. Luke Altmyer needs more weapons, and Griffin should be able to make an impact early on.
