Jaylan Mitchell – Class of 2027

I think it is fair to say that the Bradley Beal Elite E16 team was stacked. This was one of the best groups of players I have seen assembled on the AAU circuit in quite some time. I already mentioned keeping an eye on JJ Andrews and Miikka Muurinen from the class of 2027. Don’t sleep on Jaylan Mitchell either.

Mitchell is a 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward from Reitz Memorial High School in Indiana. He isn’t rated or ranked just yet, but that is due to Mitchell being a member of the class of 2027.

In the EYBL, Mitchell aged up and played with the E16 kids. Not only could he keep up with the older players, but he was better than most of them.

As mentioned earlier, Bradley Beal Elite won seven games in a row and took home the Peach Jam title. During this seven-game stretch, Mitchell averaged 12.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.

Illinois was one of the first teams to come in with an offer to Mitchell back in July 2023. Since that moment, Illinois’ assistant coaches have visited or watched the kid play on multiple occasions.

At the end of the day, Mitchell’s recruiting profile is going to blow up. This kid is going to be a star. Illinois’ grassroots effort right now will hopefully pay massive dividends down the road with a commitment.
