2024 NFL Draft - Best teams to draft Illinois football OT Isaiah Adams

Illinois football should have numerous players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

One of the rising Illini players who is likely to get selected in the NFL Draft is offensive tackle, Isaiah Adams. He helped anchor the Illinois offensive line last season, and Adams is now catching the eye of many NFL scouts.

Pro Football Focus Pick: Cincinnati Bengals (Round 5: Pick 149)

The next pick for the Illinois football team is projected to be offensive tackle, Isaiah Adams. Pro Football Focus has Adams going in the fifth round with pick No. 149 to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Best Fit: Atlanta Falcons (Round 5: Pick 143)

I believe the best option for Adams in the 2024 NFL Draft is to be picked by the Atlanta Falcons. They are six picks ahead of the Bengals at No. 143 in the fifth round.

Atlanta is looking to win games in 2024, as they signed Kirk Cousins from Minnesota. Cousins should be an upgrade at the quarterback position, but the Falcons need to protect him.

The Falcons have nice offensive tackles in Jake Matthews and Kaleb McGary. This gives Adams the flexibility to not have to start, and he can learn behind a couple of veterans. There isn’t a ton of experience behind the starters either, so Adams could come in and be a second-string tackle for the Falcons.

Other Options: Cincinnati Bengals (Round 5: Pick 149), Los Angeles Chargers (Round 5: Pick 140)

Two other options for Adams that I like are the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Chargers. Both teams have struggled to protect their franchise quarterback, and I think Adams could be a great option.

I like PFF’s original destination for Adams. The Bengals, while not my first option, are a solid option for the talented tackle. Cincinnati has addressed the tackle position in the last couple of years, but Adams could provide some nice depth. It would also be fun to see him alongside Ted Karras.

The Chargers need some help up front heading into the 2024 season. Rashawn Slater out of Northwestern seems to be a good pick in 2021, but Los Angeles is weak at the other tackle position. Trey Pipkins III ranked No. 50 among all tackles in the NFL last season. Look for the Chargers to maybe take Adams to give them another option heading into the 2024 campaign.
