The 2026-27 season is rapidly approaching, which means it's time for the Illini to converge on Rosemont, Illinois, for Big Ten Media Days.
The Illini, who returned over 90% of their roster from 2025, will join their fellow conference members at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center on October 7.
Illinois will be well-represented in Rosemont by head coach Shauna Green, junior Berry Wallace, and senior Jasmine Brown-Hagger.

Wallace, a product of Pickerington, Ohio, was a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten First Team last season. She was the top scorer for Illinois, averaging 18.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists through 34 games.
Brown-Hagger is the elder stateswoman for Illinois, with the 5-foot-9 guard becoming a prominent voice in the locker room. She is Green's lockdown defender on the perimeter, with the ability to score at will when her team needs a bucket.
Shauna Green couldn't have picked a better duo to represent Illinois in Rosemont
The women's basketball program has a roster filled with impressive players. Wallace and Brown-Hagger, however, are two individuals who stand out from the rest
Green made a great choice in selecting Wallace and Brown-Hagger for Big Ten Media Days. As two of the most experienced players on the roster, they bring a strong veteran presence to the event and truly have the pulse of this team.

The Illini have one of the most impressive rosters in the country, as they will look to improve on last year's performance in the NCAA tournament.
Illinois is coming off a second straight postseason appearance and the third in four seasons. This is a run that very few Illini fans have seen, and with Wallace and Brown-Hagger back in the fold, the 2026-27 campaign has expectations that likely have never existed.
We are going to learn a lot about this young team this season, and it all starts on October 7. Let's get ready for a ride!
