Illinois basketball coach Shauna Green has an elite group of women on her roster who are ready to make another run for glory this upcoming season
The Illini, led by junior Berry Wallace and sophomores Destiny Jackson and Cearah Parchment, brought the youngest roster in the country all the way to the second round of the NCAA tournament last season.
It was a magical season for the women's program, as they showed the world that the Illini are quickly becoming a major threat in college basketball. They are preparing for the journey of a lifetime this offseason, and according to Illinois' social media, it looks like they will be taking fans along for the ride.

'Falling Into Place' is a multi-part summer series with the Illinois basketball program that will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the team as they prepare for the season ahead. The first episode dropped on Thursday night.
Illinois basketball giving fans an offseason documentary is a perfect move for the program
The women's Illinois basketball program has a lot of momentum heading into the 2026-27 season, especially after returning over 90% of their roster from a year ago. They have a chance to do something special this winter, and a summer series is exactly what they need to get fans hyped for it.
This is a perfect program for the new fan, the hardcore fan, and every other fan in between. We've already seen these young women on the court, but now we get to see what makes them tick off the court. Not only that, but we also get to learn a little bit more about newcomers like Divine Bourrage, Lana Brenjo, and Ona Riopedre.
It is hard not to be excited about this team, or the game of basketball as a whole. But just like the title of this production says, everything is currently 'falling into place' for the women's program. They have their core intact, and they added key pieces to help in areas where they desperately need them.
All that's left is for Green and the staff to put the pieces together.
