Shauna Green is building something special in Champaign, with an Illinois basketball frontcourt led by All-American Berry Wallace and Big Ten All-Freshman Cearah Parchment.
The Illini, who finished 22-12 last season, put the country on notice with one of the youngest teams in the Big Ten. They made believers out of everyone and made the NCAA tournament for the third time in the past four years.
The women's program has a very bright future ahead of them, as they are gaining steam both on the court and on the recruiting trail. But at some point, they will need to find replacements for top stars like Wallace and Parchment, and they may have found one in Sage Hill product Eve Fowler.

Fowler, a Newport Beach, California product, is a four-star center who ranks No. 55 in the country in ESPN's Super 60 rankings. The 6-foot-3 Fowler has been dominant in the paint for Sage Hill, averaging 10.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 34 games as a sophomore.
If Fowler chooses Illinois, she will have a spot waiting for her, as Wallace will have already graduated the year prior. She will still have the opportunity to play with Parchment down low, who will be entering her fourth and final season with the program.

Illinois found a lot of success last season with both of their bigs being able to stretch the floor. Wallace and Parchment, who shot 34.7% and 40.7% from three-point range, gave Green a multitude of scoring threats across the court.
If Fowler were to enter the mix, she would primarily reside below the basket, especially on the defensive side of the ball. As someone who almost averaged a double-double last season, she will certainly become a regular post player in an offense that has a plethora of shooters.
Fowler will certainly become a name to keep an eye on as we inch closer to 2028. If Illinois can land the talented post player, fans should expect their frontcourt to continue to excel.
