Keaton Wagler recorded a resounding 13-point, 12-rebound double-double as the Illinois Fighting Illini shocked the world and dominated the Houston Cougars to advance to the Elite Eight.

The freshman point guard has made every head coach in the country regret not recruiting him harder, other than Brad Underwood, and he has played nearly picture-perfect basketball since the NCAA Tournament tipped off.

His mindset, along with his head coach and teammates, has been clear: he's here to win it all and he isn't afraid of anyone. A photo captured during Illinois's dismantling of the Cougars showed that mindset as clear as day.

Wagler is bodying up and staring down Chris Cenac Jr., a forward for Houston. For reference, Wagler is 6-foot-6 and 180 pounds. Cenac? He's 6-foot-11 and 240 pounds.

Keaton. Wagler. Isn't. Scared. Of. Anybody.

Underwood already showed signs of this mindset when Illinois tipped off its postseason in the Big Ten Tournament, virtually applauding when senior guard Kylan Boswell received a technical foul.

Illinois is ready for more with Elite Eight up next

It is becoming more and more apparent that the Illini are out for blood this March, and the rest of the country is finally starting to take notice. The picture of Wagler is simply the latest example.

The Illini earned its 65-55 victory over the Cougars to advance to the Elite Eight, where they will face the No. 9-seed Iowa Hawkeyes, an opponent that Wagler and the rest of the team are extremely familiar with, having played and defeated them already this year.

With the win over Houston, Illinois improved to 27-8 overall and earned its second appearance in the Elite Eight since Underwood took over the program.

In the Elite Eight, the No. 3-seed Illini and the No. 6-seed Hawkeyes are scheduled to tip off at 5:09 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 29, and the game will be broadcast on TBS as well as truTV.
