Meet The Team
Josh Yourish
Josh Yourish is a national college sports writer for FanSided covering football and basketball. Josh is a college football awards voter, FWAA, and USBWAA member, who has been covering both sports for two years. Prior to his current role, Josh spent two years as a sports betting writer for Minute Media, with a specialty in college football and college basketball. He is a graduate of George Mason University and a Pittsburgh native.
Kellen Sherman
Kellen is the newest contributor for FanSided’s ‘Writing Illini.’ When it comes to the U of I; he specializes in men’s basketball, but also touches on other topics ranging from football to softball. He has been writing about Illinois sports for almost a decade, contributing most notably to Fans First Sports Network and Pro Football Insiders. Kellen has also been mistaken for professional basketball player Nikola Mirotic many times.

Sam Fariss
Sam Fariss is a staff writer for our NCAA team. She attended the University of Oregon (Go Ducks) where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Sam has covered college football and other collegiate sports for six years now. Her favorite teams are the Ducks (of course) and the Texas Longhorns because she was raised in Austin.
