2. All-around the best game of Kendall Bostic’s career

I touched a bit on Kendall Bostic in the last slide, but with the type of game she had on Friday night, she deserves an entire essay written about the greatness she has brought to Champaign.

Bostic played the best game I have ever seen her play. This doesn’t really need to be said considering Bostic put up a career-high 31 points. But this special game was more than just scoring or a number in a box score.

For the game, Bostic finished with 31 points, eight rebounds, and one steal. She shot 15-of-18 from the field as well. Let’s break down why this game was so special.

Firstly, the points were impressive. Scoring 31 points in a game and leading your team to a big win is huge. Bostic put the Illini on her back.

Those 31 points weren’t just layups either. While she did go 0-of-2 from three-point range, Bostic was knocking down shots from everywhere inside the three-point arc. Her mid-range game was on fire, and she had a great presence in the paint.

Bostic was extremely efficient while scoring 31 points too. She logged 32 minutes and had zero turnovers in the game.

This was an incredible performance by one of the greatest Illinois basketball players of all time. Bostic is nearly unstoppable right now.
