The women's Illinois basketball team heads into a big momentum matchup against Marquette on Sunday night.

Coming off a win over No. 19 Florida State in game one of the season, the Illini look to build on that victory. A letdown game is not what we need right now, so this game is crucial in keeping the momentum.

There were a few things that stood out to me in the game against the Seminoles. I am curious if there will be some adjustments heading into the contest on Sunday night.

Here are three key questions for the Illinois basketball team against Marquette

1. Does Berry Wallace get more involved?

The biggest offseason addition to any women’s Illinois basketball team in the history of the program was Berry Wallace. I don’t believe the Illini have ever landed a player ranked higher than this superstar forward.

Wallace didn’t see a lot of time in the first game against Florida State, though. She logged three minutes on the court and didn’t record a stat.

One of the questions I have for the game against Marquette on Sunday night is will Wallace get more involved in the Illinois rotations?

Wallace didn’t ride the pine due to poor play. When she did play, she wasn’t bad. The size Wallace brings to the table is pretty underrated too. She is physically going to be able to hold her own as a freshman. I think there is just a lot of talent and not a ton of minutes to go around right now. I also believe Shauna Green is smart and isn’t just throwing Wallace to the wolves. This is a slow process, but look for Wallace to get a few more minutes against the Golden Eagles.
