The Illinois football team offered multiple quarterbacks over the last couple of days.

Over the past few years, the quarterback position has become a strength for the Illini. I remember the days of Illinois having zero ability to move the ball down the field via the quarterback. The offense was stuck in the mud, and this resulted in losing a lot of games by a lot of points.

Bret Bielema won’t let that happen to the Illini. He has done a great job building out the quarterback room and continues to try to add pieces for the future.

On Tuesday, Blake Hebert took to social media to announce that he had received a scholarship offer from Illinois. He is a talented quarterback who is going to have every team in the country after him in the next couple of years.

Illinois football is trying to strengthen recruiting on the east coast by offering Blake Hebert a scholarship

Hebert is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback from Central Catholic High School in Massachusetts. He is rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 170 player in the class of 2025. He is also the No. 11 quarterback in the country and the best player coming out of Massachusetts.

Currently, Hebert has roughly 13 scholarship offers, most of which are from power-five programs. I fully expect Hebert to have just about every team vying for his services by the end of his recruitment.

It is hard not to love everything about Hebert’s game. The way he throws the ball down the field is impressive. He has great accuracy with the ball, and it is a very catchable ball as well. I also love the fact when there is chaos around him, Hebert stays call and delivers a strike. That is a great attribute to have as a quarterback.

This is a great offer by Illinois. It is going to be a long recruiting road, but hopefully, we can make an impact on Hebert. This kid is going to be a really good player at the next level.

Next. Bret Bielema continues to improve Illini recruiting. dark
