Jaiden Glover

Illinois continues to target solid wing players for the class of 2024. We already have Morez Johnson committed who will be a nice frontcourt piece, but now let’s land someone like Jaiden Glover to help round out the roster.

Glover is a 6-foot-6, 190-pound small forward from The Patrick School in New Jersey. He is rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 77 player in the class of 2024. He is also the No. 21 small forward in the country and the No. 3 player coming out of New Jersey.

As of right now, Glover’s recruitment is still in the offer stage. He continues to rack up scholarship offers from big-time programs. Illinois is one of the offers he has received this year, as we started recruiting the kid back in late January.

Glover did an interview with Jamie Shaw of On3.com in February, and he talked about the Illinois offer. He mentioned his “great” relationship with Chester Frazier and the style that the Illini play as a big bonus.

How I see Illinois using Jaiden Glover

First off, Glover is a big-time playmaker and scorer. You can’t give him space or he is going to knock down a shot right in your eye.

If Ayo Dosunmu and Ty Rodgers had a baby, it would be Glover. If he picked the Illini, I would have Glover starting at the No. 2 spot from day one. I know that his designation is small forward, but this kid is best suited with the ball in his hands.

Honestly, I am kind of shocked Glover is just inside the top 100. I think he is a top-30 talent, and hopefully, the Illini coaching staff can convince him to come to Champaign.
