After a week zero victory over Wyoming, the Illinois football team looks to build on momentum against the Indiana Hoosiers.

The Illini has only played Indiana twice since 2013, and both matchups went in favor of the Hoosiers by double-digit points. Illinois does lead the series overall, though, 45-24-2.

Here are the game time, injury report, and betting tips for Illinois football vs Indiana.

Illinois football vs Indiana best bet – Illinois +3

Last week against Wyoming, Illinois covered the -11 spread with ease. The game actually ended up being -32 in favor of the Illini. For some reason, Vegas is underestimating Illinois’ defense.

It looks like they are underestimating the power of the Illini defense again this week against Indiana. Illinois is actually getting points, and I would suggest laying money down right now before the line moves closer to a pick’em.

I think the reason Indiana is a favorite is that they dealt with injuries last season. But even when they were healthy, their quarterback situation was a mess. That is why they brought in Connor Bazelak from Missouri. I don’t think he has officially been named the starter, but he will be starting.

Bazelak is an upgrade from all three quarterbacks Indiana had last season. But this Hoosiers program was still 0-9 in the Big Ten and had a sub-100 ranked offense and defense. I like Illinois in this matchup. Maybe after this week, Vegas will see us as a legit team.

Illinois football vs Indiana best of the rest – Under 45.5 points & Illinois +135

There are a few juicy bets this week. I really like the under 45.5 points on Friday. Illinois played in nine Big Ten games in 2021 and only two times did the games go over 45 points. This Illini defense is sneaky good. I also expect Indiana’s defense to be improved compared to the 33.2 points per game they gave up in 2021. Pound the under in this game.

As far as the moneyline goes, I would pick Illinois straight up. If you are getting +135 on the Illini this week, take it while you can. I honestly believe Illinois should be at -7.5. Even with backup running back Josh McCray out, we should be okay. Reggie Love III is ready to go, and he is a starting-caliber running back.

Illinois football vs Indiana getting frisky bet – One-game parlay

I firmly believe in everything I said above. Illinois should be the favorite against Indiana. Do you want to make a little dough this Friday? Here is the bet.

If your sportsbook allows it, do a one-game parlay. If you put together Illinois +3 (-110), under 45.5 (-110), and Illinois moneyline (+135), then you would get +757 odds.

That means if you throw $100 down on that one-game parlay, your net payout would end up being $856.50. That seems like easy money to me. Book it.
