The Illinois football team saw 10 of its players get signed to NFL rosters this offseason.

Where does each Illini rookie stand just one week ahead of the start of full practices?

Out of the 10 players competing for an NFL spot, three players were drafted while seven were signed as undrafted free agents.  Defensive back Kerby Joseph, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe, and center Doug Kramer were the three drafted Illini.

Here is where each former Illinois football player stands heading into NFL training camp.

  • Kerby Joseph

Kerby Joseph was selected by the Detroit Lions in the third round, pick No. 97, of the 2022 NFL Draft.

According to ESPN, the former Illini safety is listed as the Lions’ third-string strong safety.  Joseph will get his chance to climb up the depth chart once veterans report to training camp on July 26 and when full-contact practices begin on July 30.

Joseph will get even more of an opportunity to prove his worth during the Lions’ three preseason games
