Illinois basketball is back in action on Tuesday night against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The Illini are coming off a big win over Maryland on Thursday but needed the four days off after playing two games in three days last week. Meanwhile, Nebraska enters the game on Tuesday coming off a road loss to Rutgers by 27 points.

This is obviously a game that Illinois should put away pretty early, but road Big Ten games are never easy. The Illini better be awake and not sleepwalking through the first half. That is my biggest fear.

Here are four big questions for the Illinois basketball team against Nebraska.

1. Can Kofi keep his streak alive?

Illinois is now 9-1 in the last 10 games, and a big reason why we are playing some great basketball is the fact we have big man Kofi Cockburn in the paint.

Kofi has been sensational this season averaging 22.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game. He is a menace on the boards, and he has honed his game to the point he is a player who can rack up multiple assists on any given night.

The run that Kofi has been on lately has been special. He now has seven-straight games with a double-double. In fact, there have only been two games this season where Kofi failed to get a double-double, and that was against Notre Dame and Cincinnati. He finished with eight rebounds and seven rebounds in those games, respectively.

On Tuesday night against Nebraska, I am going to be watching to see if Kofi can continue his great play and get his eighth-straight double-double. That is a pretty big accomplishment. His current seven-game double-double streak is the longest of his career, so as Kofi continues building, he continues adding to his legacy. He is one of the best to ever put on an Illinois jersey.
