Other names to keep an eye on

Jalen Hooks – Hooks dropped from No. 52 in the country to No. 82 in the latest 247Sports rankings. Illinois was all over Hooks earlier this year, and he visited Champaign in August, but the recruitment has been quiet for the Illini as of late.

Xavier Booker – Booker stayed steady in the latest 247Sports rankings. He checks in at No. 89, which was his previous ranking. Booker took a visit to Champaign with Hooks in August.

Austin Parks – A new name that has emerged for the Illini is Austin Parks. Chester Frazier is recruiting the 6-foot-9, 240-pound center. He stayed steady at No. 118 in the newest 247Sports rankings. Parks is someone to keep an eye on for, potentially, the big man of the future.

Ty Pence – Illinois is keeping an eye on Pence. The talented forward is starting to get some serious recruiting attention. He didn’t crack the top 150, but Pence sits at No. 204 overall.

Davius Loury – 247Sports didn’t put Loury in the top 150, and they still don’t have him ranked at all. This kid is a top 200 recruit, without a doubt. His offers continue to pile up too. Loury was with JJ Taylor and Darrin Ames last weekend visiting Champaign.
