Illinois football: Moneyline, spread, and total points betting advice vs. Wisconsin

In 2021, Wisconsin is only scoring an average of 9.2 points per game by halftime. That only ranks No. 100 in the country. Illinois is right there with the Badgers, as the Illini only score 8.8 points per game in the first half, which ranks No. 105 in the nation.

I also think the lack of scoring for the entire game has to come into play. If you take the Eastern Michigan game out of Wisconsin’s schedule, the Badgers are only averaging 13.3 points per game this season. Illinois is a little better in the scoring department, but they have only hit 20 points in one game the past four contests.

I think you have to go with Illinois +6 in the first half. Wisconsin has only been averaging 9.2 points per game in the first half of each game this season. If Illinois can score any type of points in the first half, they should be able to cover the +6.

When you look at the over-under 21.5 points, I feel like this is a pound-the-under type of bet. If you are looking for a lock this weekend, it is under 21.5 points in the first half of the Illinois vs. Wisconsin game. Put your paycheck, life savings, and even your least favorite child on the under.
