10. Season Double-Doubles

Having a player be great in one area of the floor is usually a tremendous success. But having someone who can do multiple things on the basketball court is extremely rare. Kofi Cockburn is a rare breed who can not only put up points, but he can rebound with the best of the best.

Kofi was able to score and rebound so well, he is one of the best to ever do it in both categories. In fact, last season, the big man put up a total of 16 double-doubles for the Orange and Blue. Getting at least 10 points and 10 rebounds from him was crucial in the success of the program. His 16 double-doubles ended up landing Kofi at the No. 5 spot in single-season double-doubles for the Illini.

11. Career Double-Doubles

The 2020-21 campaign was special for the Illinois basketball team. Kofi was one of the leaders on the team with the great numbers he was able to put up for the program. The 16 double-doubles he was able to amass were spectacular.

If Kofi is able to put up another 16 double-doubles this season, he would go down as the most dynamic big man Illinois has ever had on the roster. Kofi would finish with 44 double-doubles for his career, which would put him No. 1 all-time in career double-doubles. Skip Thoren would be No. 2 with 41 double-doubles.
