The class of 2021 is nowhere close to being finished for Brad Underwood and the Illinois basketball coaching staff.

Piece No. 1 is in place with Luke Goode. The 6-foot-5, 175-pound Homestead High School stud committed to the Illini back in April and will be signing with the program on November 16. This was a huge commitment for the Orange and Blue.

After the Goode commitment, this left Illinois with three available scholarships for the 2021 campaign. With those three scholarships, there are a few holes to fill. One of those holes is replacing legendary guard, Ayo Dosunmu.

Who could potentially fill that hole? Tyty Washington.

Tyty, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound point guard from Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona, is wanted by just about every team in the nation. The talented guard is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 57 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 8 point guard in the nation. He is also the No. 3 player coming out of the state of Arizona.

The previous Illinois coaching regime struggled to get great point guards into the program, but Underwood and his coaching staff continue to buck the trend. Tyty would be a special player for the Illini, but why would he pick Champaign over the other destinations?

Here are three reasons why Tyty Washington should pick the Illini.
