Wide Receiver/Tight End

And now we get to the strength of the Wisconsin offense. Despite losing Quintez Cephus to the Detroit Lions, the Badgers are loaded again at both wide receiver and tight end heading into the 2020 campaign.

The top four wide receivers this season should be Kendrick Pryor, Danny Davis III, Jack Dunn and Adam Krumholz, all of whom are seniors this year. That is a lot of experience.

Pryor put up the best numbers in 2019 pulling down 23 catches for 278 yards. Davis wasn’t too far behind in yards as he had 30 catches for 250 yards and a touchdown. Dunn and Krumholz combined for 61 yards and a touchdown.

The numbers won’t jump off the page when it comes to the Wisconsin wide receivers, but they are all seniors. That experience is invaluable when it comes to the football field.

I would say tight end Jake Ferguson is going to be the most dangerous weapon for Wisconsin on Friday. The talented 6-foot-5 tight end is one of the best at his position entering the 2020 campaign. He was one of Coan’s go-to-guys in 2019 as he pulled down 33 receptions for 407 yards and 2 touchdowns. His receptions and yardage were only second to Cephus.

The weapons are there for Wisconsin to be able to move the ball. This is an experienced bunch of pass catchers for this program. Illinois’ defensive backs are going to have their work cut out for them this weekend.
