Illinois football fans finally get to see the team play here in about a month, but what will the depth chart look like on October 24?

The Illini have gone through some slight changes since their 2019 bowl season concluded. Some big players left the program, like Ricky Smalling. Losing Smalling hurt because he was one of our best wide receivers and someone we could count on game in and game out.

But while we lost some talented players like Smalling, Illinois also brought in some freshmen and transfers to help the team win games in 2020. Someone like Brian Hightower should fill in for Smalling and the offense shouldn’t miss a beat.

The Illini are healthy as well. It has been over a year since Marquez Beason went down with an injury, and now we get to finally see him suit up for the Orange and Blue. He is going to be sensational for this program.

All of the hype is there for a reason. This Illinois football team is going to be really good. Let’s start by focusing on the offense, though. There are some big-time playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, and we should be a well-oiled machine.

Here is the projected Illini depth chart on offense for 2020.
