The Illinois basketball team is on the cusp of finding out if they are still in the running for one of their big-time targets for the class of 2021.

Illinois’ class of 2021 is currently being held down by Luke Goode. Goode, a great get from the state of Indiana, is a 6-foot-5, 175-pound wing who can hit shots from anywhere on the court. But he is going to need more help. With three scholarships left to fill, the Illini have a few options left to fill in around Goode.

Some of the options Illinois was eye have already either knocked the Illini out of their top list or if they have committed elsewhere. But there are still a handful of talented recruits who have a mutual interest in coming to Champaign. One of those recruits is Jordan Nesbitt.

Nesbitt is a 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward from St. Louis Christian Academy and resides in St. Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 75 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 14 small forward in the nation.

Back on August 7, Nesbitt trimmed his list down to just 11 programs. That list will get trimmed again on September 17 to just three teams. His final decision will come on October 1. Illinois needs a player like Nesbitt to add to their class of 2021. The roster would look pretty good too.

Here is the projected Illini lineup if Jordan Nesbitt picks the Orange and Blue.
